TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE OUR WORLD, ONE CHILD AT A TIME
Hello my name is Eliana Marie,
I am 11 years old and I want to do everything I can to help find better treatments for children with cancer.
My story started two years ago when I really wanted to help sick children my age and began to sell bows and pencil cases to raise money for a public hospital in Cairo, Egypt. With the help of my parents, family, community and school I was able to raise $3500. In December 2018 I was lucky enough to travel to Egypt with my 3 year old sister Hannah and parents to visit some of the sick children in need at Abu El Reesh Hospital and present the director all the money we raised.
In 2019 I wanted to do more and support the Royal Children’s Hospital. Together with a group of my friends we learnt how to make soy candles and diffusers, we sold them all very quickly and reached our target of $2000 in 2 days.
It’s never too early to try and make a small difference in this world and give back. That’s why my family and I have decided to launch Smell of Hope, a social enterprise and we have chosen to partner up with the Children’s Cancer foundation and donate 100% of the profits of all our sales to support children with cancer.
I am doing this for every child fighting cancer to let them know you are not alone. I am here for you and I will do everything we can in hopes to help the Children Cancer Foundation find better treatments and a cure.Â
